Tablescape Thursday~White Christmas Tablescape

The inspiration for this week's tablescape came from these sugared fruit ornaments that I purchased many years ago. Years ago, when I had my home, I used to put up Christmas trees in every room. Each room had a theme and a color. Of course, the lime green color is one of my favorite colors. I love how it pops with all the white, hence this week's title: White Christmas Tablescape.
The metal tree in the center of the table, I purchased at a second hand store. I took it apart and painted it with a metallic flat paint, knowing that I would use it for a tablescape. I think it turned out beautiful.

The ornaments are lime green and gold and repeat the gold of the rim on the Lenox crystal water goblets. Bone china is Spode Mansard. The tea light holders are crystal.

A closer look at the Christmas tree.

A pretty view in the mirror of the Christmas tree. I love the Louis XV gilded mirror with the gold/green ornaments.

For the chairs, I draped white netting around them and tied them in the back.

I clipped an ornament on the back and tied it with a lime green and white plaid chiffon ribbon.

A view of the entire tablescape.

Another pretty shot.

A lovely view of the Christmas tree.

I hope you enjoyed this week's tablescape. Please visit Susan's blog at, "Between Naps on the Porch" for more tablescapes.

  1. Your table is so refreshing with the green and white. I like how you decorated the chairs. What a fun centerpiece and I like the fact that you changed the color and added all those green ornaments and all the candles to the table. You always have such nice TS. Happy Holidays.

  6. So, so elegant! Lovely!

I thought of you at a party I attended last weekend. The hostess had done some creative work with a centerpiece and it was rather "Dream Mom-esque!" She had a row of five martini glasses of various shapes (some had unusual squiggly stems - she said she'd found them at a dollar store!) She had them in a row on an oblong mirror, turned upside down, with snips of holly leaves and berries inside them (sort of a bell jar effect) -- with little votive candles on the upside-down bases of the glasses. Adorable!

So glad to see the tablescapes returning and thinking daily of you and Dear Son - hope his recovery is continuing.

  11. I have been looking all over for t lime green ornaments and there they are sitting on your beautiful table. I know this is probably futile, but where did you get them?

  12. Kristin, I got the lime/gold ones and the sugared ones around 12 years ago at a store called, L.S. Ayers in Indiana, when I was passing through. I used to purchase a lot of my ornaments there since they used to get some German ornaments that were really quite special and I used to create quite a few different trees. Good luck.
